Day 1: Saigon-Can Duoc-Cho
Gao-My Tho-Caibe (L, D, G on boat)
After breakfast, our car will
transfer you from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to the
quay. You will embark on the Mien Tay boat which departs for
Mytho via Can Duoc and Cho Gao. Upon arrival Cho Gao, you
will have lunch on boat and then walk around the Cho Gao
market explore the daily life of the local people. You will
continue cruising down the Mekong River whilst enyoying the
beautiful scenery. When arriving in My Tho, you will stroll
to visit the Thoi Son Island and take a paddle boat though
the small canals. Enjoy the tropical fruits and the
magnificent sunset on the Tien river. Our boat will be
flowing for Cai Be. Dinner and overnight stay aboard.
Day 2: Cai Be-Sa
Dec-Long Xuyen (B, L, D, G on boat)
After breakfast, you?ll
explore the lively Cai Be floating market in early morning;
walk for a visit at the handicraft village of local people;
Visit the old house and sample various tropical fruits. Boat
flowing to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec. You?ll have a walking tour
around Sadec town,where Margueritte Duras's famous novel
Lover was set and made famous by the film L?Amant, the
Marguerite Duras story. Visit a bonsai garden and the local
market. Lunch on boat. Continue your leisurely cruise up the
Mekong River to Long Xuyen. Enyoying the beautiful scenery,
the aperitifs and sunset cruise. Dinner and overnight on
boat in Long Xuyen.
Day 3: Long Xuyen-Cho
Moi-Chau Doc(B, L, D, G on boat)
Rising up early for another
nice day we contemplate sunrise while having breakfast on
board. Visit Longxuyen floating market by small boats
intermingled through the water as vendors buy and sell their
fruit. Visit a crocodile farm and promenade on OngHo
island, see daily life of the local people who live on both
sides of the Mekong (Bassac river), and small arroyos on the
island. Afternoon, continue cruising to Hoa Hao village for
pleasant walking and sight seeing a Church. Your overnight
stay will be on boat in Hoa Hao (Cho Moi dist.) proximity
Chau Doc Dinner .
Day 4: Chau Doc-HCMC (B,
L, G on boat)
In the morning, boat
continues to cruise to Chau Doc. Cruise through the floating
village producing tons of fish beneath hundreds of floating
houses, discover the ethnic Cham village with famous Mubarak
Mosque and observe local women at their traditional weaving.
Lunch on board. You will then disembark and drive to visit
Ba Chua Xu and Thoai Ngoc Hau temples. Then return Ho Chi
Minh City by route.
